Research Interests
Wildlife and people live in the same places here in Connecticut. Black bears swim in backyard pools, bobcats traveling through urban parks, and frogs breed in the vernal pool on your property. I study why some populations increase and others decrease when forest is intermixed with urban development. I am the PI on the CT Bobcat Project and we will be GPS collaring bobcats in Hartford and neighboring towns. Upcoming projects will include more focus on the interactions between people and the wildlife living in the same neighborhoods.
