Our affiliates are colleagues and fellow collaborators working toward stronger urban communities!

More specifically, RRCRE Affiliates are members of the UConn community -- faculty and research-oriented staff -- who have signaled that they have a significant cities-related focus in their research, teaching, and other scholarly activities, and want to take an active role in building and expanding the urban research community and outreach here at UConn.

While RRCRE is headquartered at UConn Hartford, affiliation is open to faculty and staff from ALL University of Connecticut campuses.

As an RRCRE Affiliate, you can enjoy the following benefits:

• Joining a group of dedicated UConn scholars focused on urban research  
• Access to Space, Equipment, and Networks
  • • Event venues, meeting and conference rooms, and a collaborative research workspace with specialized equipment (subject to availability) in a prime downtown Hartford location
    • Special consideration to become a RRCRE Resident Scholar, with private, dedicated office space in Hartford (See our current list of Resident Scholars here)
• Special Events and Programming
  • • Networking events with fellow researchers
    • Workshops and lectures (e.g. community engagement pedagogy, using ArcGIS in scholarly presentations)
• Unique Opportunities for Collaborative Research
